Visiting Campus

We welcome visitors to our campus, from potential applicants and their families, school groups that would like to make use of our Biodiversity Reserve, educators who want to see how UWC functions, and for our Akshara programme.

Visits by Prospective Students, Families, or Educators

Click here to register for Open Days.

For potential applicants and their families, we organise special Open Days between the months of September and January that allow you to visit campus, talk to students and teachers, and understand the admissions process. We encourage the potential student to be present during visits because they need to decide whether this environment is right for them. To this end, our Open Days are often during weekdays — so you can see what a working UWC looks like! We understand that this is often a challenge, but trust us, seeing the campus is not enough. You need to feel how it works on a regular day.

Visits by Alumni

We encourage alumni to come back and visit! We love to see you on campus. Please email [email protected] to schedule a visit indicating your year of graduation and full name.

Visits by Parents

Please note that the campus is off-limits during certain times of the year. Do ensure that you read our visitors policy and then contact wada parents for permission to visit and book the campus guest house.

Visits to Akshara

You're welcome to come and see what Akshara – Our Local Impact Initiative is all about! To schedule a visit, please send an email to [email protected]. You can learn more about Akshara here.

Visits to the Biodiversity Reserve

Our 175-acre Biodiversity Reserve lies within the Western Ghats, a world biodiversity hotspot. Take a look at the different categories of species at our reserve on our Campus Biodiversity page.

If you'd like to visit our biodiversity reserve, please send an email to [email protected] to schedule a visit with the following information:

  • Profile of visitors/affiliated institutions
  • Purpose of visit
  • Preferred dates & duration of visit
  • Whether a biodiversity guide is needed or not

Visits by Architectural Students

Our award-winning architecture combines modern architectural design with locally sourced materials and sensitivity to its environmental impact, and covers approximately one-third of our campus. Architect Christopher Benninger was awarded a Business week/Architectural Record Award in 2000 and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2001 for his use of local materials and architecture in the design of our campus.

Students wishing to visit and photograph the campus should fill this form to schedule a visit. Please note that the visits can be scheduled only on dates the College is holding an Open Day (as listed in the form linked above). Visitors should note that photography of the campus architecture is only permitted in areas where campus community members are not present.
