MUWCI Scholarships – Creating Leaders since 1997

A movement of leaders who are re-imagining tomorrow

MUWCI’s alumni community is full of inspiring individuals. And for this community to keep growing, your participation is essential! Over the next six weeks, we’re aiming to raise USD 32,000 towards MUWCI’s Scholarship Fund. An anonymous donor is matching all gifts for this campaign, essentially doubling the impact of your giving. Over the course of this campaign, we also want to introduce you to three alumni who are making a difference.

Like Vrinda, an alumna from the Class of ‘07 who strives daily to create a safer environment for Delhi’s most vulnerable women and children as DCP of Women’s Safety in Delhi.

Like Aasim from the Class of ‘16 who developed Orai - an app to help non-native speakers of English develop public speaking confidence. It was recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2021 as a vital project in the Education domain that brought access to a virtual classroom for many in need.

Like Arvinn - who as Director of the UNDP Oslo Governance Center, guides the making of international policies that leave no one behind.

What does the Scholarship Fund create

The intentionally diverse community at MUWCI is impossible without our ability to offer needs-based scholarships. The number of full scholarships we have been able to offer the incoming cohort of students in 2021 has nearly doubled since last year. And campaigns like this one are a key factor in ensuring this number continues to grow.

MUWCI's Class of 2023 consists of 52 nationalities, wherein 3 of 5 students belong to a country from the Global South. Additionally, it is gratifying to note that a Syrian student has been part of MUWCI's community every year since 2016, and this year we have representation from Afghanistan as well.

Your donation can create a life-changing opportunity for a bright student despite the rampant inequity and displacement in the world. Join the movement today!

Scholarships Matter

MUWCI & UWC India are rapidly increasing outreach to Indian students from more diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.  In the cohort of students entering MUWCI in 2021, 15% receive full scholarships. Our goal is to grow this number - so that we can meet the financial need of every student selected to attend MUWCI.
