How can there be peace without people understanding each other; and how can this be if they don’t know each other?

- Lester B. Pearson (Nobel Peace Prize laureate)

Living together with peers from around the world and with different backgrounds and points of views- in rooms, in wadas and within the college, is one of the central concepts of the UWC movement. At UWC Mahindra College, all students and full-time faculty are residential and must live together, through their differences. UWC alumni are a testament to this philosophy and remain lifelong friends long after they have left the College. Sometimes, living together, without much privacy is very difficult. However, UWC students recognize that difficulties also mean an intense learning environment for young people to flourish in and to develop strong relationships and friendships with people you would not have met otherwise.
