IBDP Teacher Training
UWC Mahindra College, as a pioneer of the IBDP in India, receives several requests a year from prospective and new IB and other international schools. While we are happy to allow IB administrators and IB teachers to observe and interact with our college teachers and administrators, we envisage the following norms to be adopted:
• Requests should be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the intended date of visit and sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
• No more than 5 teachers on campus on any given day
• UWC Mahindra College teachers should not be requested to grade or evaluate student material. Nor will our college
student or ex-students' essays and / or assignments, graded or ungraded, be made available as case studies. (IB teacher workshops and sometimes OCC provides such exemplars if required.) Copies of published IB materials should also be purchased from the IB if required
• Unlike the IBO, UWC Mahindra College does not view teacher training in commercial terms but as a service experienced schools provide to other schools. An appropriate donation to Akshara, our rural educational outreach program, based on the number teachers visiting and the length of the visit is, however, welcomed
Most visits are for one day but overnight stays are also possible, and perhaps advisable for teachers from outside the Mumbai-Pune area. A limited amount of paid guest housing is available on campus. For more information on accommodation.
