In light of the COVID-19 situation in India and escalating international travel restrictions, the College has decided to send students home and plans to re-open in time for the new academic year 2020-2021.
Our priority is the health and well-being of the college community, and the continued education of our students online. A small number of students that are unable to return to their home countries will remain on campus with faculty and their residential supervisors. Online classes and assessments will begin in earnest starting Monday, March 23rd. The College will work jointly with the IBO to facilitate a change of venue for our Second Years students to take the IB examinations in their respective countries of residence.
The college will continue to notify all stakeholders on matters of relevance regarding this situation through email.
Akshara, our local community engagement program, has halted operations in the local schools and villages until further notice. MUWCI’s Summer Programmes are currently on hold and applicants will be informed of our final decision in April.
Facing this emergency has been deeply challenging and the College is grateful for your support. Funds are needed to support students from underprivileged backgrounds who have been unable to afford last minute airfares or who will need to compensate host families because they cannot return home. 100% of funds will be disbursed directly to students in financial need.
