Meet our Alumnus – Dhaval Chadha, A Serial Entrepreneur

A graduate of UWCMC (Class of 2004), Dhaval is a serial entrepreneur having co-founded four different companies. He has more than 7 years of experience in strategy, business development and investment. Dhaval graduated from Harvard with a major in Social Studies and a certificate in Portuguese. He also holds a diploma from the Graduate Studies Program at Singularity University.
Previously, he co-founded and led Pipa, an accelerator fund focused on purpose driven companies in Rio de Janeiro. He built Pipa up to a ten company portfolio and grew assets more than 200% (cash on cash) in less than 2 years. He successfully raised more than $1.5 MM in investment during his time as chief executive. Prior to Pipa, Dhaval founded and led Cria, an innovation and shared-value consultancy where he led strategy engagements with clients including Coca Cola, Whirlpool and the Rio 2016 Olympics.
The University of St. Gallen in Switzerland named Dhaval as one of 200 Global Leaders of Tomorrow in 2014. He was awarded the Benjamin Trustman Fellowship at Harvard, is a fellow of INK (in association with TED), a Gifted Citizen of Ciudad de las Ideas, a member of the prestigious Sandbox Network and a mentor at Socialab. He is also on the board of the Brazilian chapter of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs.
Dhaval has spoken at numerous high profile events including TEDxPortoAlegre, INK, Trans4M (Intel + Will.I.Am), IDEAS (Autodesk) and the Global Entrepreneurship Week (Endeavor). He has participated as a speaker or mentor at numerous entrepreneurship events in Brazil such as Startup Weekend and Google Launchpad.
“UWC Mahindra College helped shaped my values and world vision and make sure that I am committed to building a more just and sustainable world,” says Dhaval. He is driven by purpose and impact and is always looking for ways to use business, technology and other means to build a better and smarter future and to unlock human potential. His other intellectual interests include the evolution of consciousness, integral theory and meditation/yoga.
